How does the Christian balance faith and works in the LIFE business?

How does the Christian balance faith and works in the LIFE business?

So often I find that we as Christians wrestle against worshiping the creation over the creator.  Very often we put so much time and energy into our education, our careers, our recreation, that we lose connection with God.  One of my main concerns when I began building LIFE was how will I fit this into my already busy life, and will this too take me further from my calling to serve God?  Many of my fears were partially alleviated when I heard and witnessed the founders promoting Faith, Family and then the business in that prioritized order. Even more endearing was that fact monthly seminars, conventions and private leadership meetings were always opened in prayer and leaders always promoted God as our source of success.  Major Conventions always include a humble, but powerful Christians service on Sunday morning that allows believers of the Christian faith to learn more about God and His plan of salvation.  I have seen many people come to Christ in these meetings, and many more fan the flames of curiosity as God draws them nearer to the truth. Many will criticize LIFE Leadership, the founders, and members for being so brazen in their Christian faith, but I found comfort in knowing that people of like faith were leading the charge, and following the words of Matthew 8:38

If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.”

Many times the Christian will ask how do I know if these people are really Christians?  Fair question…and the Bible gives us help in identifying true believers in Luke 6:44-46…

For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

When I first entered into business with the LIFE founders, I did not know these men nor their wives.  And they did not know me, so we partnered in good faith and took the time necessary to evaluate each others hearts and motives. LIFE provides a 100% money back guarantee on all products and a 30-day grace period for those new members that change their mind.  LIFE Leadership has incorporated full exposure to the business as a part of the first 30 days for all members.  These safeguards ensure that all parties get a chance to know and hear from the hearts of their constituents before delving deeper into the business partnership.

I initially had major concerns about the doctrine that was being taught, and who was doing the teaching.  But LIFE Leadership does a good job in separating the business teachings from the spiritual teachings.  LIFE will sometimes partner with secular authors, lectures and teachers in order to learn business and personal principles that align with the 8 F’s. But the message of the Gospel is kept separate and simple so that we can find the common ground in the good news while not allowing denominational rifts to distort God’s amazing grace. LIFE Leadership walks the fine line that Paul wrote in I Corinthians 9:19-23…

Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.  To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.  I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

I have had the privilege of leading a few people to Christ and then leading those people to LIFE Leadership, but more often I have led people to LIFE Leadership and then led them to Christ.  To many this may sound strange, but let me further explain why I have found this to be true.  LIFE Leadership is a business that encourages it members to build a community. First by knowing oneself, then learning how to relate to and communicate with others. LIFE professional business owners are encouraged to share the business plan 15 times a month, and I, and many other members have developed that industrious habit. In these 15 exposures (plans), we are taught to make a friend, find a need, transfer a genuine feeling of belief in the prospect and the business, get the prospect to a meeting, loan, sell or give them information to enjoy, and schedule a follow up time to meet again in two days.  I have found that these “plans” provide are real opportunity to let our light so shine before men so that they may see our good works. In the living rooms of Americans, LIFE members get a chance to know people that they most likely never would have met.  We get a chance to cross cultural, racial and socio-economic lines that our society and many of our Churches have a yet to cross. LIFE members often hear the despair, trials and heartaches that families are experiencing. Financial distress, relational disharmony, physical sickness, and mental stress are common fare. We then get a very real chance to offer hope for both secular and spiritual ailments.  With thousands of LIFE members knocking on the doors of new friends, co-workers, and neighbors, LIFE has put feet on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and our lights are shining brightly. There are millions of Christian evangelicals that are doing a great work in offering hope to the hopeless of our world.  I pray that God will continue to use their ministry to build His kingdom, and I also know that the saints of God that are called to propagate LIFE, can do a great work in spreading the good news as well.  The pain of our world is too great for Christians to trifle over the way in which we reach God’s lost sheep and lead them home…Jesus reminds us of this in Matthew 9:35-38…

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.  Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

I often speak with my current Pastor in regards to LIFE Leadership, and because he sees the need that LIFE is filling, he allows us to use the Church as a meeting place for events.  We together marvel at the cooperation, and dedication shown by LIFE members at these events, and we long for that same consistent unity of spirit in the Church. I am not so naive to believe that LIFE Leadership is the savior of the world, we know that Jesus Christ is our Savior. LIFE is only as good as the people that represent the business, and I believe that God has called a remnant of His people to this business in order to make a difference in their sphere of influence. Bible inspired words of truth carried on the wings of brave souls seeking to serve, prosper and expand a business and a kingdom, provide many with their best shot at living the life that they have always wanted and their best shot at fulfilling our great commission found in Matthew 28:19-20…

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

I pray that these articles provide you with a fresh perspective of the LIFE Leadership Company, and the unique industry of compensated communities. There is no way to answer all of your questions nor alleviate all of your concerns, but I hope that you feel compelled enough to take the next steps toward LIFE membership.  There are no guarantees in life or in business, the hard cold facts can only take us so far. Emotions are fleeting at best, and the Christian is left with nothing but FAITH. Faith to see the impossible, move the un-movable and feel the intangible.  Mankind cannot see past the choices we have yet to make, but God can, so I encourage you to walk by faith and not by sight.  I leave you with these words found in John 15:5-8…

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit;apart from me you can do nothing.  If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.  If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

My prayer is that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be His disciples, and if by chance we bear that fruit in LIFE Leadership, build it big for the glory of our God!

  1. This is magnificent!!! This is what LIFE leadership is all about and its gets better the bigger the community gets. We are doing Gods work by leading others to truth in those 8 F’s and God is at the helm. He has continued to bless our organization and He has honored the commitment of this community time and time again. Great post mr ray!!!

  2. I believe we are to walk our christian walk in all we do – even our vocations. Often I think christians have two lives work and then outside work. LIFE actually provides for a way for us to live our christian principles in the areas of giving, getting debt free- how many christians have no hope of living in obedience to living debt free with out something like LIFE?/ What a blessing! Thanks for giving us words to ponder…
